What do I use to clean up after using Jasco® Premium Paint & Epoxy Remover?

Clean up with Jasco Paint Thinner or Odorless Mineral Spirits.

How do I apply Jasco® Prep & Primer?

You can apply Jasco® Prep & Primer to rusted or new bare metal with a brush, roller or pump sprayer.  If removing rust, allow the product to sit overnight and then rinse off or wipe the surface with a damp cloth to remove any loose residue.  You can then apply Primer, and the new coating when the metal is dry.  If prepping new metal, apply and let sit for 15-30 minutes and then rinse or wipe with a damp cloth.  Primer and paint can be applied when metal is dry.

Will Jasco® Varnish & Stain Remover remove a wood stain?

Yes, Jasco® Varnish & Stain Remover will remove a wood stain.

Jasco® Prep & Primer turned my concrete white.  How do I remove this?

The phosphoric acid in Jasco® Prep & Primer will permanently brighten any concrete it comes in contact with.

Can I apply Jasco® Prep & Primer to painted metal?

No, Jasco® Prep & Primer is only intended for use on rusted or bare metal; it will attack paint and turn it gummy.

What temperature is best for stripping?

The best temperature for stripping is 65-85 degrees; anything above or below this temperature causes paint strippers to be ineffective.

I’m having trouble opening this can of stripper.  How do you do this?

We torque these caps tight so that leaks do not occur; use a pair of channel lock pliers or vice grips to help loosen the cap.

Can I strip fiberglass with one of the Jasco® paint strippers?

No, the chemicals in Jasco® paint strippers will damage fiberglass.

What’s the coverage of a can of Jasco® paint stripper?

The coverage of a can of Jasco® paint stripper is 20 sq. ft. per quart, and 80 sq. ft. per gallon.

This paint stripper isn’t removing the finish.  What can I do?

Try scuffing the paint first with a piece of sandpaper or a liquid deglosser like Jasco® Sander Deglosser.  This will allow the stripper to penetrate the finish to release it from the surface.
