With 90% lower emission of fumes than standard Muriatic Acid, Jasco® Green™ Muriatic Acid is the earth-friendly way to brighten masonry, etch concrete, remove excess wet mortar from bricks, clean algae and scum — and lower the pH balance in swimming pools.
Wear chemical-resistant gloves and chemical splash goggles. Remove all surface oil, grease, and dirt prior to using this product.
BRIGHTENING CONCRETE, MASONRY, BRICK, STONE, GROUT AND HARD SURFACES: Dilute 12 ounces of Muriatic Acid per gallon of water in a plastic sprinkling can or a plastic pump up sprayer. Gently stir with a non-metallic utensil. Apply evenly and spread with a broom to any missed areas. Allow to sit for 5 minutes. Then rinse thoroughly with water.
ETCHING CONCRETE: Dilute 24 ounces of Muriatic Acid per gallon of water in a plastic sprinkling can or a plastic pump up sprayer. Gently stir with a non-metallic utensil. Apply evenly and spread with a broom to any missed areas. Allow to sit for 5-10 minutes. Then rinse thoroughly with water. Allow surface to dry before applying a paint or coating.
CLEANING SCUM FROM BOAT HULLS: Protect non-fiberglass parts and trailer with plastic sheeting. Use full strength. Pour into a plastic bucket and apply with a natural bristle brush. Rinse thoroughly with water.
SWIMMING POOLS: Always wear chemical resistant gloves and protective eyegear. Remove the seal from the bottle and partially submerge the bottle in the pool. Pour the acid into the pool by tilting the bottle. Keep the mouth of the bottle only a couple of inches above the pool's surface. Average usage rate is 1/4 of a 1 gallon bottle per 10,000 gallons of pool water. It is recommended that you estimate this and not try to measure. Rinse any spills off you or the deck promptly with pool water.
